Know where you are against the rules
A challenge is rarely lost on a bad trade. It is lost on the trade after it, taken because nobody was counting.
Prop-firm rules are simple to state and easy to breach: a daily loss limit, a maximum drawdown, sometimes a profit target and a minimum number of trading days. The problem is that the number that matters is the one you are not looking at while you are in a trade.
TradeAssay tracks the limits you set and warns you before you cross them, rather than telling you afterwards.

Prop firms whose MetaTrader accounts sync automatically through the expert advisor.
Separate accounts, separately judged
Run a live account, two challenges and a backtest account side by side, each with its own rules, its own statistics and its own equity curve. Switching between them is one click, and nothing bleeds across.
Unlimited accounts on every plan, including the free one.
- Daily loss and maximum drawdown limits with a circuit breaker
- Profit target and trading-day progress on the challenge
- Backtest results kept in their own account, never mixed with live

The rules you wrote, checked at entry
Write a setup into a named playbook — entry criteria, exit criteria, market conditions — and its checklist appears while you are still deciding, not in next month's review.

What this does not do
It does not place, modify or close orders. The broker connection is read-only by design, which is the same reason it cannot be used to trade your account — and the reason it cannot force-flatten you at a limit either.
The circuit breaker is a warning and a lock inside TradeAssay, not an order sent to your broker. It tells you that you are done for the day. Whether you listen is still the part only you can do.
Before you switch.
Which prop firms does it sync with?
Any firm that gives you a MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 account, because the sync runs as an expert advisor inside your own terminal rather than through the firm. FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, E8 Markets and Alpha Capital are set up by name; the rest work the same way.
Can it stop me trading when I hit my daily loss?
It locks and warns inside TradeAssay. It cannot send an order to your broker, because the connection is deliberately read-only — the same property that means it can never be used to trade your account.
Do backtest trades count against my challenge statistics?
No. Backtests are written to a separate account tagged as a backtest account, and never touch the live or challenge numbers.
Is prop-firm tracking on the free plan?
No, it is a Pro feature at $9.99/month. The journal, imports, calendar and core reports are free with no expiry.
